Motive, an AI-powered integrated operations platform, has officially launched a state-of-the-art security solution tailored for the Mexican market. This platform is designed to address the distinct security needs of Mexican businesses, helping fleet operators minimize theft, accelerate recovery of stolen goods, and enhance driver safety.

“While Mexico's economy is experiencing massive growth, security risks are at an all time high. A transport vehicle is stolen every 38 minutes and cargo theft rates are climbing, with 86% of incidents involving violence last year. Motive’s new AI-powered security offering gives organizations driving Mexico’s economic success exactly what they need to tackle these challenges and better protect their drivers and cargo,” says Omar Camacho, General Manager of Mexico, Motive.

Motive’s new security capabilities are integrated into a single platform, delivering robust protection for vehicles and cargo. The system is designed to detect, prevent, and respond to threats and suspicious activities. The new capabilities verify authorized drivers, immobilize the vehicle when theft is detected, alert dispatchers of emergencies, capture live video feeds, and record footage 360-degrees around the vehicle.

Motive’s security solutions provide real-time alerts when drivers enter or leave geofenced high-risk zones with Motive’s advanced GPS system. Motive’s AI Dashcam, live streaming and Follow Mode capabilities enable dispatchers to assess risk by delivering a live stream of what’s happening on the road from the Fleet Dashboard.

Motive’s security solutions come as Mexico continues to strengthen its position as a global manufacturing hub and a top exporter to the United States. Recent data shows a record-breaking 675,000 trucks crossed the US-Mexico border in May 2024, transporting goods worth US$352.5 billion—an almost 40% increase from the previous year. Mexico’s trade dynamics are evolving, with more imports by truck compared to Canada and a significant drop in Chinese imports.

The launch of this advanced security solution marks a significant step in Motive’s expansion plans in Mexico. The company has recently established an office in Mexico City to enhance support for local clients including Mexitrans Mexicana de Transporte, Global Track, Betos Trucking, and Transcabo.
