UPS Strengthens Healthcare Logistics With AHG Acquisition

UPS has announced the completion of its acquisition of Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG), a Canada-based leader in healthcare supply chain management and cold chain logistics across North America. The transaction, valued at about US$1.6 billion, will enhance UPS’s position as a global leader in specialized logistics solutions for the healthcare sector.

Under the agreement, AHG shareholders will receive CA$55 (US$40) per share in cash, consolidating UPS’s investment in expanding its healthcare logistics footprint and integrating critical cold chain capabilities. With AHG’s extensive expertise and network, UPS Healthcare customers will benefit from faster transit times, broader global reach, enhanced end-to-end visibility, and higher quality standards across operations.

Following the acquisition, Michael Andlauer, Founder and CEO, AHG, will lead UPS Healthcare in Canada, further strengthening the combined company’s specialized capabilities and responding to the growing demand for healthcare logistics services. His experience and focus on innovation are expected to drive the next phase of UPS’s expansion in the healthcare segment.
