PEMEX has successfully completed repairs on a pipeline affected by extraordinary rainfall in northern Veracruz, following a containment breach that impacted approximately 8km near Alamo Temapache. The company immediately activated its industrial and environmental safety protocols to address the incident.
Floods Disrupt Fuel Supply in Queretaro
Roughly 190 PEMEX-branded gas stations in Queretaro suffered fuel supply delays this week after torrential rains disrupted logistics and distribution, prompting supply rationing and user complaints across the state. The Queretaro Service Station Union reported that magna gasoline is now flowing again, while premium grades are being reintroduced gradually. Full normalization is expected by week’s end, according to Enrique Arroyo, Union President.
Mexico’s Chemical Sector Calls for Stronger Public-Private Action
At the LVII National Forum of the Chemical Industry, organized by the National Chemical Industry Association (ANIQ), industry leaders urged stronger cooperation between the government and the private sector to reverse declining production, secure raw materials, and position Mexico’s chemical and petrochemical sectors for long-term growth.
