Clariant to Relocate Part of Mexico Production to the US

Clariant AG will shift part of its adsorbent production from Mexico to the United States in response to tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump, CEO Conrad Keijzer announced. The company will relocate production intended for the US market to an existing facility in Quincy, Florida, while maintaining its plant in Puebla, Mexico, to serve local demand. 

SLB Secures Drilling Contract for Trion Development in Mexico

SLB has been awarded a major drilling contract by Woodside Energy for the ultra-deepwater Trion development project. The contract includes the delivery of 18 ultra-deepwater wells over a three-year period using an integrated services approach and AI-enabled drilling technologies.

PEMEX Still to Settle 60% of Debt to 100 Suppliers: CANACINTRA

The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA) reported that PEMEX still needs to settle 60% of its debt for services rendered by 100 of its suppliers, members of CANACINTRA, in key oil-producing states. Four companies have gone bankrupt due to these unpaid debts, according to Esperanza Ortega, President, CANACINTRA.

Olmeca Refinery to Process 220Mb/d by End of March

PEMEX’s Olmeca refinery is set to close in March with a crude processing volume of 220Mb/d, according to Víctor Rodríguez, CEO, PEMEX. The refinery is expected to reach full capacity by 2025. Rodríguez stated that Dos Bocas will achieve maximum production this year. The facility has two distillation trains, with only one operating at 100Mb/d last week.
