Axen Capital Highlights Progress on Mexico’s 2030 Agenda
Axen Capital showcased its expanding role in Mexico’s sustainability agenda during the Axen Life Extreme 2025 event, where company leaders and collaborators highlighted how its business strategy aligns with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Marking its eighth anniversary, the firm presented initiatives that blend innovation, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship across its operations.
CEO Dante Eludier said Axen Capital operates under the belief that “business success only makes sense when it generates real well-being.” He noted that collaboration with the United Nations System in Mexico and the Ministry of Economy allows the company “to turn purpose into action,” emphasizing the role of partnerships in driving sustainable transformation.
Representing the UN System in Mexico, Héctor F. Ochoa Moreno underscored the private sector’s crucial role in achieving the 2030 Agenda, describing it as “a global plan for people, the planet, and prosperity” built on inclusion and collaboration. Reducing inequality, he said, requires the joint efforts of business, government, academia, and civil society.
Axen Capital also introduced Axen Mind, an educational program that promotes sustainability, equity, financial literacy, and social innovation from preschool to secondary school. The company said the initiative aims to prepare new generations to meet future economic and social challenges.
Adopted by 193 countries in 2015, the 2030 Agenda sets 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets addressing poverty, environmental protection, and equal opportunity. Ochoa Moreno noted Mexico’s progress in areas such as poverty reduction, gender equality, energy access, and digital inclusion, while stressing the need to adapt global goals to local realities.
