English Training a Must for Global Presence
STORY INLINE POST
Q: What is the added value that Voxy brings to the digital learning market?
A: Voxy is an innovative corporate training solution that has been used successfully by hundreds of corporate clients around the world to upskill their teams. Our AI-driven platform, available through both desktop and mobile devices, allows learners to fully customize a highly engaging English learning experience.
Our unique factor is our ability to hyper-personalize this experience, much like Netflix, in terms of having learners go down specific paths that make sense for them, using metrics and data that deliver faster results. Our other advantage, which is a result of the methodology we use, is that we deliver real measurable outcomes for both learners and customers.
Q: Voxy is known for offering an industry-specific approach to its corporate clients. What benefits does this provide, particularly in terms of cost savings and goal-oriented courses?
A: When we talk about cost savings, it is really about how we are able to make employees within an organization more efficient and how we improve communication on a day-to-day basis. People in a professional environment need to learn English for that specific purpose, so that they can interact and use language to communicate more effectively at work. By having a very broad catalog of authentic content, learners are actually getting the information that is relevant for their daily jobs.
Q: What progress has Voxy made since completing the acquisition of Chile’s The Language Co. in March 2022, which was aimed at expanding Voxy's presence in Latin America?
A: We have built a platform that is scalable globally, which helps us to bring our services to learners and organizations around the world. One of the keys to being able to do that effectively is having local teams able to support our clients. We have seen amazing success with this acquisition. The outcomes that we have been able to deliver over the past year have been a win-win for all involved, both The Language Co. team, Voxy and our customers.
Q: Why is Mexico a relevant market for Voxy?
A: There is a huge opportunity in Mexico and we have seen that companies are looking to upskill their teams with English training to build a global presence and expand their offering. It was one of the first markets that we entered many years ago and it is one that we continue to invest in for the future.
Q: Interest in lifelong learning is on the rise, particularly in the digital economy. How is Voxy providing added value to companies in terms of innovation and retention?
A: There is a focus on providing value or a meaningful experience to employees. We can support organizations on those kinds of programs. Providing English training opens new opportunities for individuals within organizations. It impacts simple things, such as being able to participate in global meetings or maybe having access to promotions. Much of the content available in the world is in English and many of our learners have benefited from the ability to increase the tools that are available to them by developing their English skills.
Q: Micro learning has become increasingly popular. What are the advantages to this approach and what different strategies does Voxy use to implement it?
A: When I think about micro learning I think about how important flexibility is to people around the world. Finding time in someone's day to learn something new is critical. Voxy’s content is built around flexibility to have shorter courses. We also have longer courses available for people who have that time blocked out. With language training, the ability to frequently access and engage in content and practice the language is critical to make progress.
Q: What are the main elements to consider for a company to implement a language learning policy?
A: We have been able to help our customers to set up a policy that makes sense for them. We help them to better understand their own internal needs because many do not know the impact that implementing an English training program can have on their business. Some are aware of the need to implement this solution but they do not know where the gaps are within the organization. From start to finish, we engage with our clients. Once the main needs are identified, our team works primarily with HR departments to have a clear picture of where they are today and where they want to be in the future. This also helps to set the right expectations.
Q: The online language learning market is expected to grow to almost US$30 billion by 2026, according to Technavio. How does Voxy plan to scale alongside the market?
A: We have seen significant growth in the market and Voxy’s platform is set up to scale globally. We have worked with millions of learners around the world and many corporations globally to implement our programs. Our commitment to customers is to make sure that we are building a best-in-class solution that delivers highly engaging and relevant content, paired with high-quality lab instruction to make sure that learners are getting the best of both experiences to have those proficiency gains and the outcomes that they are looking for in the workplace. A big part of our mission is to drive positive social impact by helping individuals around the world access new opportunities.
Voxy, founded in 2010, is an innovative and flexible digital English-language learning solution that has been used successfully by over 4 million learners and hundreds of corporate clients around the world.
