Pearson, HCLTech Partner to Advance AI-Driven Learning
Pearson and HCLTech have entered a multi-year strategic partnership aimed at developing AI-powered tools to support workforce readiness and close global skills gaps.
"As Generative AI and digital engineering redefine what is possible in education and workforce development, we are thrilled to expand this collaboration globally. Together, we have a unique opportunity to create transformative learning experiences and unlock competitive advantages for learners and institutions around the world," says C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director, HCLTechl.
The agreement brings together Pearson’s reach in learning and assessment with HCLTech’s expertise in digital transformation, AI, and product engineering. The partnership will focus on three strategic areas: co-developing AI-powered learning solutions, launching an AI innovation lab, and aligning talent development with workforce needs.
Under the collaboration, Pearson will use HCLTech’s Generative AI platform, AI Force, and its EdTech solution, Career Shaper, to expand its learning programs and assessment tools. These solutions will be directed toward upskilling individuals and enabling employers across enterprise, higher education, and public sectors to respond to rapid changes in the labor market.
Pearson’s digital tools will also be deployed internally within HCLTech. This includes integration into HCLTech’s HR ecosystem through verified credentials via Credly and use of Pearson’s Faethm AI platform to support employee development and talent planning.
The companies will establish an AI Tech Lab to co-create next-generation educational products based on Generative AI and the Career Shaper platform. In addition, joint initiatives will focus on generating data-driven insights that can help organizations design strategic learning investments and align skills development with business goals.
The rise of AI has widened the skills gap globally, and the partnership with HCLTech aims to deliver tools that help workers adapt to ongoing changes, says Omar Abbosh, CEO, Pearson. The announcement supports Pearson’s strategy to integrate AI across its offerings and drive enterprise-focused learning innovation through global partnerships.
