HCLTech Partners with Carrix to Enhance Global Port Operations
Global technology company HCLTech has announced a partnership with Carrix, the world’s largest independent marine and rail terminal operator. Through this collaboration, HCLTech will help elevate Carrix’s global port operations by integrating its advanced suite of AI of Things (AIoT) technologies. This move is part of Carrix’s ongoing effort to transform its operations into a scalable, AI-powered system that prioritizes safety and operational efficiency.
“As we continue our digital transformation journey, we are confident that HCLTech’s AI-led capabilities, customer-centric approach and partner ecosystem will help us achieve the desired outcome of improving safety and efficiency of our port operations,” says Jim Downing, CIO, Carrix.
The integration will utilize HCLTech’s VisionX AI Edge, a cutting-edge AIoT technology platform that will unify Carrix’s existing terminal management tools into one optimized system. By leveraging automation, AIoT, and Vision AI, the new system will provide a more cohesive and advanced approach to port management, enhancing decision-making processes and streamlining compliance efforts.
One of the key elements of the integration is the real-time generation of actionable insights through HCLTech’s AI-powered solutions. By integrating the VisionX platform with Carrix’s network of cameras, fleet management systems, and sensors, the new system will deliver real-time dashboards that enable operational improvements. These insights will increase worker safety and situational awareness and optimize workflow processes, enhance productivity, and monitor asset health.
“We are proud to partner with Carrix to help modernize its global port network and achieve higher standards for safety, compliance and efficiency. We look forward to working alongside Carrix as it leverages AI to transform its international business operations,” says Ajay Bahl, Chief Growth Officer Americas, HCLTech.
Initially, this advanced AIoT platform will be deployed in Carrix’s transportation ports in Mexico, with the potential for future expansion to more of its ports across North and South America.
