Workers Pass on Offers Lacking Salary Range, Remote Work Options
A Robert Half survey finds that over 40% of workers lose interest in job ads lacking salary ranges or remote work options. This highlights the need for transparency and flexibility in job postings. Employers must adapt to attract top talent, as failure to meet these demands could hinder their hiring success, the company says.
The survey, which polled more than 1,000 workers, also identified other significant deal-breakers: inadequate emphasis on company culture and lengthy interview processes. Dawn Fay, Operational President, Robert Half, emphasized that employers need to adapt their hiring strategies to meet worker expectations and remain competitive.
“In the era of the Big Stay, employers need to take into consideration what workers want and come to the table with competitive offers,” Fay said in a statement.
The push for salary transparency is particularly beneficial for women and people of color, who are often at a disadvantage in salary negotiations, according to the National Women’s Law Center.
Remote work continues to be a significant factor in job searches, especially among women. An Indeed report suggests that remote work options can help to attract and retain employees, particularly mothers seeking better work-life balance.
HR Dive suggests that as the labor market evolves, employers should refine their job postings and offers to align with worker preferences to attract top talent.
