Q: How has OSC Top Solutions evolved in terms of offerings and reach since its founding over 28 years ago?

A: We have evolved significantly since our founding in 1996, expanding into 16 countries, including the United States and 15 Latin American countries. Our offer focuses on three main business lines: telecommunication services, implementing solutions from strategic partners like NOKIA, Ericsson, Huawei, and Cisco; workforce management, providing highly skilled engineers for specialized projects; and smart solutions, where we act as technology integrators, delivering customized solutions that optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance our clients’ profitability.

Q: How would you describe your position in the Mexican market?

A: We started operations in Mexico 15 years ago, and firmly established ourselves in the market by providing services to major players and participating in prominent projects like the implementation of the national phone and internet network with 470 LTE sites, a project we successfully completed six months ago. We are now present in every state of the country. We have 300 employees in Mexico working on various projects, reinforcing our position as a key player in connectivity technologies, including fiber optic networks, LTE, and 5G.

Q: What key factors have contributed to your success in such a highly competitive environment?

A: Our global market experience, strong commitment to quality, and flawless execution of large-scale projects have contributed to our market positioning. Our consultative approach allows us to offer customized technological solutions that optimize our clients’ processes, creating added value beyond simply providing technology.

Q: How has OSC remained agile and innovative over the years, and what key lessons have ensured sustainable growth?

A: We have adopted a strategy of constant evolution, adapting to technological changes and expanding our capabilities beyond our initial services. Fifteen years ago, we were implementing 3G networks; we are now leading the adoption of 5G networks, offering significantly higher bandwidth and lower latency and driving automation in key industrial sectors. To ensure sustainable growth, we must anticipate technological trends and offer comprehensive solutions that generate long-term value, such as private 5G networks, which not only optimize connectivity but enable Industry 4.0.

Q: What industries are you focusing on in the Mexican market?

A: We are focusing on manufacturing, mining, and ports, where we are heavily investing in advanced connectivity solutions like private 5G networks. These technologies enable greater automation, higher reliability, and drastically reduced latency, which are essential for critical sectors where connectivity must be practically infallible. We are also exploring innovative solutions such as atmospheric water generation, a technology that allows communities without drinking water to generate between 50L and 5,000L daily from ambient humidity, offering a potential solution for issues in key development and sustainability sectors.

Q: What recent strategic partnerships or collaborations have significantly strengthened your market position?

A: We are Nokia’s primary integrator channel for Latin America. This strategic alliance allows us to provide top-tier connectivity solutions, such as private LTE and 5G networks, which are essential for enabling industrial automation solutions and improving operational efficiency in key sectors. A clear example of this synergy is the modernization of the Panama Canal’s IP network, where we combined Nokia’s connectivity with advanced automation and communication solutions to improve the canal’s operations.

Q: How is OSC helping its clients overcome digitalization barriers, especially considering that most businesses in Mexico are SMEs?

A: We help clients overcome barriers through the implementation of digital transformation solutions. We focus on optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reliability. We first ensure robust connectivity, which is fundamental to any digitization process. Then, we integrate applications that allow our clients to automate and streamline their operations. Our strategy is designed to help businesses to better compete in the industry, making them more economical, efficient, and therefore more competitive.

Q: How do you envision the future of telecommunications in Mexico?

A: The future of telecommunications in Mexico seems promising, with the country emerging as a connectivity leader in Latin America despite coverage challenges. Government initiatives, such as the promotion of the Online Digital Tax Checker (CFDI), and private investments, especially from Grupo Carso, are positioning Mexico as a reference for 5G adoption.

Q: What are the most promising trends in the Mexican IT market, and how is OSC preparing to capitalize on them?

A: While connectivity is the foundation, we are seeing exponential growth in cybersecurity, as threats become increasingly sophisticated. We specialize in offering complementary solutions to traditional products by working with companies like LUMU and KYMATIO, which allow us to address threat detection and raise awareness about security practices. Another trend lies in AI. Although we are not a major player in this field yet, we are closely monitoring its evolution. Our strategy is not to develop proprietary software but to identify the best providers and partner with them to bring their solutions to the Latin American market.

Q: What opportunities does OSC see in the development of Smart Cities in Mexico, and how is the company positioned to contribute to the sector's growth?

A: Mexico is adopting Smart City technologies with the implementation of monitoring systems like C4 and C5. The local market is already quite mature, making direct entry difficult for us, but we see an opportunity to expand these solutions to other Latin American countries. We work with PROMAD, a Mexican company that developed the C5 and other major installations in Mexico City, to leverage this technology and bring it to other countries in the region. With ProMath as a partner, we plan to implement these control and monitoring systems in cities across Latin America, starting in 2025.

Q: What expansion and development plans does the company have for the Mexican market?

A: Over the next 12-24 months, we will focus on three key areas: connectivity, private 5G LTE networks, and atmospheric water generation. In terms of connectivity, we will continue providing implementation services for relevant clients, focusing especially on fiber optic expansion. Regarding private 5G LTE networks, we are targeting sectors like manufacturing, ports, utilities, and mining, with successful use cases in other countries that we plan to replicate in Mexico. The third priority is atmospheric water generation, a key solution in emergencies and industrial sectors, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
