Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced the opening of its new offices in Mexico as part of its strategy to consolidate its presence in the country and strengthen its position in the Latin American region, according to a press release.

The new facilities, strategically located in Mexico City, will serve as the nerve center for the company's operations, housing several key departments, including sales, human resources, finance, legal, marketing, and operations. This move, according to the company, represents a fundamental step in Vertiv's expansion, being the first offices of their kind in design and functionality in Latin America.

"The new offices in Mexico City will serve as a strategic hub for the company's operations thanks to greater proximity to key business partners, customers, and shareholders, not only in Mexico, but also throughout Latin America," said Rafael Garrido, Vice President, Vertiv Latin America.

These offices add as a corporate counterpart to the various investments made by the company in the country, currently with manufacturing plants in Tijuana, Reynosa, and Mexicali, as well as a campus in Monterrey that manufactures technical equipment and hosts a test laboratory. These facilities are designed, according to the technology company, to support the development of critical applications and emerging trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), nearshoring, and edge computing.

Vertiv's presence in Mexico underscores not only the country's importance in the regional technology arena but also highlights Vertiv's confidence in Mexico's ability to host highly complex, value-added operations. "The choice of Mexico as the center of our Latin American operations reflects our confidence in the technological innovation in Mexico and its people," said Garrido.

In terms of context and implications for the Mexican market, Vertiv's expansion represents a significant boost to the country's digital economy. With investments in cutting-edge infrastructure and the development of innovative solutions, Vertiv is contributing to the strengthening of data centers, connectivity, and energy efficiency in Mexico.

“This decision not only reinforces our commitment to creating an innovative and dynamic work environment, but also our commitment to Mexico as a focal point for innovation and growth in Latin America,” said Jessica Garcia, Director of Human Resources, Vertiv Latin America.

Although the road to digitalization in Mexico presents challenges, such as the need for more digital infrastructure and technical training, Vertiv sees these obstacles as opportunities to reaffirm its commitment to the country.

"Through collaboration with governmental, educational and private entities, Vertiv seeks not only to overcome these challenges, but also to foster a robust and resilient technological ecosystem,” Garcia added. "Our goal is to support the growth of technological innovation in Mexico not only through our solutions, but also through training and development of local talent, as well as in the company of one."
