Guanajuato Highlights Women’s Leadership
Guanajuato government officials celebrated women’s leadership and vision during the third International Congress of Women and Business Leaders, emphasizing the importance of creating spaces for reflection, networking, and recognition of women transforming business, labor, and social structures in Mexico.
“Having women leaders from different states in Guanajuato makes us very happy, because being together plants a seed that will grow in each of their communities to help build a more inclusive Mexico,” says Governor Libia García.
In her keynote address, titled Leadership, García highlighted the contributions of women who paved the way for greater opportunities and called for solidarity to continue advancing equality in business and decision-making roles.
“Together, we will move forward to build a Mexico where everyone has equal opportunities. The struggle happens across many fronts, and the business sector is one of those arenas where women continue to assert their leadership and vision,” says García.
Octavio de la Torre, President, CONCANACO SERVYTUR, praised the governor’s commitment to empowering women in Guanajuato and noted her support for women’s leadership in the region.
Now in its third edition, the congress aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and recognition of women shaping Mexico’s business landscape.
