Nuevo Leon Strengthens Entrepreneurial Ecosystem With incMTY 2026
The 2026 edition of the incMYT festival is expected to bring together global leaders, startups, investors, universities and ecosystem specialists, with the participation of the state Ministry of Economy, reinforcing Nuevo Leon’s position as one of Mexico’s leading entrepreneurship hubs. The event will focus on innovation, investment, and technology, and is scheduled for March 17-20.
Considered Mexico’s most relevant festival for entrepreneurship and value creation, incMTY 2026 will place a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence, applied innovation and strategic collaboration. The event is designed to integrate corporations, academia, and venture capital in a single space, accelerating the growth of new business models and strengthening the connection between talent, investment and productive demand.
The incMTY 2026 agenda will be structured around five strategic pillars. The Innovation Leadership Summit will feature keynote speeches and panels by leaders shaping trends in the digital economy and business transformation. Future Now will focus on emerging technologies, automation and practical applications of artificial intelligence. The Founders & Investors pillar will promote direct engagement between startups, investment funds and angel investors, while Networking & Connect will encourage strategic alliances, project development and business expansion. The fifth pillar, the incMTY Awards, will recognize top performers in the ecosystem in categories such as capital innovation, women leaders, high-impact projects and emerging investors.
Betsabé Rocha Nieto, Nuevo Leon’s Minister of Economy, said the festival’s value lies in the concentration of the business ecosystem in the state. “Demand is here, the strongest companies are here, as well as talent and capital,” she said, noting that the current challenge is integrating the local ecosystem to create real growth opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The festival will operate under a collaborative university-based model, with Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) serving as its main venues. According to incMTY CEO Thomas Hogg, this approach strengthens student participation, scientific talent and academia-industry collaboration, positioning universities as drivers of economic development.
From Tecnológico de Monterrey, Ulrick Noel, General Director of the Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute, said artificial intelligence will be one of the festival’s central trends. He noted that incMTY provides a platform to inspire participants, explore new trends and hear from speakers shaping the future of global innovation.
UANL is preparing its Ciudad Universitaria facilities, where the Future Now fair will be installed in the main Rectoría plaza, said Nasser Noriega, Director of Innovation and Technological Development. The schools of Architecture, Accounting, and Engineering will host conferences, panels and specialized workshops.
As part of the festival framework, the Nuevo Leon Ministry of Economy formalized the Impulso al Emprendimiento (Entrepreneurship Drive) agreement with Tecnológico de Monterrey, joining as an anchor ally in Expedition FEMSA. The model, shared with Monterrey Digital Hub and AngelHub, aims to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship and technological development across the state.
Rocha Nieto said the partnership will bring state economic policy closer to students, entrepreneurs, and technology-based companies. Mario Adrián Flores, regional vice president of Tecnológico de Monterrey, added that the exchange of knowledge and technology will have a direct impact on the competitiveness of the local ecosystem.
With this edition, incMTY 2026 reaffirms its role as a key platform for driving business creativity, entrepreneurship and regional competitiveness, further consolidating Nuevo Leon as Mexico’s leading reference for innovation and business development.
