Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed an order for 35 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This order includes 16 units of the 737-8 model and 19 units of the 737-10 model. Following an incremental order last year, this purchase increases ACG's total 737 MAX commitment to 82 aircraft.

"This firm order for additional 737 MAX aircraft enhances the strategic value of ACG's order book, supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to invest in modern and fuel-efficient aircraft technology," said Thomas Baker, Chief Executive Officer and President, ACG.

The Boeing 737-8 can accommodate up to 210 passengers, depending on the configuration, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km). The 737-10, the largest model in the 737 MAX family, seats up to 230 passengers and offers a range of 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 km). Both models deliver significant improvements in fuel efficiency and carbon emissions, reducing fuel use and emissions by 20% compared to older aircraft.

Brad McMullen, Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing, Boeing, highlighted the strong market demand for the 737 MAX family. "Today's repeat order underscores the market's demand for the 737 MAX family of airplanes as ACG's customers seek flexible, fuel-efficient fleets. ACG has been a longstanding, valued partner on the 737 MAX program, and we look forward to delivering the latest airplane technology to its airline customers."

Founded in 1989 and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, Aviation Capital Group is one of the world's leading full-service aircraft asset managers. As of Mar. 31, 2024, ACG owned, managed, and had commitments to over 480 aircraft leased to approximately 90 airlines across 45 countries.
