Audi Mexico Earns ESR Distinction for Seventh Consecutive Year
Audi Mexico has been awarded the Distintivo de Empresa Socialmente Responsable (Socially Responsible Enterprise Recognition) by the Mexican Philanthropy Center (CEMEFI) for the seventh year in a row. This recognition highlights Audi México’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability, showcasing its development in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.
The ESR distinction evaluates various ESG aspects, including plans, programs, policies, objectives, and goals, along with best practices. Audi Mexico’s strategy focuses on ESG criteria, continually adapting to the current demands for greater economic, social, and environmental commitment. The company’s sustainable practices are also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In the environmental domain, Audi Mexico is proud to be the first automotive plant to receive the AWS certification worldwide, underscoring its dedication to efficient water management. Socially, its Corporate Citizenship strategy includes constructing a sports park in San Jose Chiapa, directly benefiting over 15,000 people, including employees and local residents. Regarding governance, Audi Mexico emphasizes transparency and compliance, supported by initiatives like the Whistleblower System and the Code of Conduct, ensuring integrity, ethics, and full respect for human rights.
These efforts enable Audi Mexico to gauge its sustainability development level and qualify for the ESR distinction. The process involves a thorough analysis and evaluation of compliance with CEMEFI’s established indicators, ensuring the company meets the highest standards of corporate social responsibility.
