Data Centers Key to Mexico's Economic Growth, Energy Transition

Data centers are not only fundamental for technological infrastructure, but also for the development of smart cities and the consolidation of a digital government, argued the Mexican Data Center Association (MEXDC) during the "Economics and the Relevance of Data Centers in Mexico in Favor of Shared Prosperity" international forum. The event, held alongside the Senate's Economic Commission, brought together representatives from government, industry, and academia to discuss technological investment in the country and the challenges of the energy transition.

Google to Build Clean Energy-Powered Data Centers in the US

Google, Intersect Power, and TPG Rise Climate are collaborating to develop industrial parks in the United States that combine gigawatts of data center capacity with purpose-built clean energy plants. The first phase of this initiative is expected to be operational by 2026, with full completion in 2027. Google and its partners are also making a capital investment in Intersect Power to support these efforts.  

France to Host 2025 AI Summit, Strengthening Ties with Mexico

France will host the AI Action Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris on Feb. 10-11, 2025. The summit will convene government leaders, academics, businesses, and international organizations, serving as a platform to strengthen international collaboration, with a particular focus on the relationship between France and Mexico.
