Q: What is Corteza.ai's position in the market and what key factors have been instrumental in achieving this position?
A: This summer, we celebrated our third anniversary. Since our inception, our team has expanded from two to over 20. From our headquarters in Puebla, we have established a strong presence in the Mexican market and are also active in other regions, such as the United States and the European Union. We are recognized as an innovative company with high-quality standards in AI consulting in Mexico, attracting the attention of multiple prospects seeking our services.
Our emphasis on AI services has been key to our success. This focus has allowed us to capitalize on significant growth opportunities and advance rapidly in the market. Our ability to offer comprehensive consulting — not only technological solutions but also assistance in integrating AI into business models — has been crucial in gaining the trust of our clients and establishing strong relationships in the sector.

Q: What are Corteza.ai's main competitive advantages compared to other players in the industry?
A: Corteza.ai stands out due to its exclusive focus on AI and its ability to provide consulting services at a competitive cost. While many leading companies in the industry charge high fees, we have tailored our services to be more accessible, allowing clients to implement AI solutions without straining their budgets. Our team is highly qualified, comprising engineers with master's degrees and doctorates in specialized technological fields. Their expertise allows us to meet our clients' needs with a high level of specialization.

Q: How does Corteza.ai ensure that its solutions meet the security standards demanded by businesses?
A: Corteza.ai prioritizes adherence to cybersecurity regulations at both the national and international levels. We align our practices with ISO/IEC 27001 standards and strive to comply with the specific regulations of each country, including the strictest requirements followed in the European Union. By keeping our solutions and processes offline, we also reduce the risk of cyberattacks and provide a secure environment for our clients. We are ready to address any security issues that may arise, ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting our users' data and information.

Q: What are the main challenges Mexican companies face when implementing AI solutions, and how does Corteza.ai address them?
A: Mexican companies face significant challenges when implementing AI solutions that primarily stem from a lack of understanding on how to apply them within their business models. The "black box" nature of AI further hinders understanding of the processes that drive results, fostering distrust among clients. Corteza.ai addresses these issues by offering tailored solutions backed by a specialized team that integrates them into the client's processes, optimizing their resources and costs. Our goal is to facilitate the adoption of AI, enhancing our clients' ability to develop and implement these technologies effectively.

Q: Which industries would benefit the most from adopting Corteza.ai’s solutions?
A: While all industries could benefit from adopting our solutions, some sectors have demonstrated significant growth and success in implementing our AI technologies. For example, in the fintech industry, our AI technology can significantly reduce risks for financial institutions and enhance decision-making accuracy. This leads to increased efficiency and accuracy in credit assessment processes, ultimately benefiting both financial institutions and their clients. Another example, in the logistics industry, computer vision has revolutionized supply chain management and inventory control.
Furthermore, in the retail sector, our AI-powered inventory management systems can optimize store layouts, ensuring that popular products are easily accessible and reducing out-of-stock situations.

Q: How have you adapted your offer to meet the specific needs of the Mexican market?
A: We have built an organizational culture that prioritizes the well-being of our team by providing a comprehensive benefits package that surpasses legal requirements. This commitment fosters productivity and efficiency while attracting highly qualified talent, which is essential for executing complex AI projects. We focus on applying advanced technologies directly in areas that have traditionally lacked such initiatives. This enables us to offer customized solutions that effectively address the specific and challenging problems faced by companies in Mexico.

Q: What case studies showcase how your solutions create a positive impact for companies in Mexico?
A: We have collaborated with various Mexican and foreign companies. For example, we worked with an EdTech company to implement a WhatsApp-based solution that allows its students to send text and voice messages. Our AI analyzes these communications to identify grammatical errors and enhance pronunciation skills.

We have also collaborated with organizations implementing variations of facial recognition solutions by enabling real-time verification and validating a user’s identity. This cutting-edge technology ensures secure access to restricted areas. Another AI application lies in document processing where our AI-driven system optimizes reading processes for contracts and other legal documents, significantly reducing the time spent on administrative tasks while enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Finally, in the field of transportation, our AI technology has made an impact through object detection and classification in images. Our AI technology can analyze traffic cameras and identify various objects, such as vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic sign, assisting traffic management systems in making real-time decisions, improving traffic flow and drivers safety.

Q: What advice would you give to Mexican companies considering adopting AI solutions to maximize ROI and avoid common mistakes in the process?
A: Companies should view AI as an additional tool rather than a replacement for existing processes. It is crucial to recognize that implementing AI does not always require a large-scale model. A smaller and more specialized approach can be just as effective and more cost-efficient. Companies should prioritize their specific needs instead of attempting to replicate their competitors’ strategies. They should also invest in education to understand how AI works and how it can enhance their operations. This approach can maximize their return on investment and avoid common mistakes during the adoption process.

Q: How will Corteza.ai strengthen its operations in the short term?
A: In the short term, we will focus on strengthening our presence in the Mexican market, where we identified significant potential despite the competition. As a Mexican company, we have an advantage through our presence in the country and our strong relationships with local and international businesses. Such partnerships have allowed us to efficiently implement scalable solutions in a matter of days. In the medium and long term, we might open offices in Latin American countries, such as Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina, which are key in the AI market. We also have  an office in the United Kingdom, which  allows us to provide more efficient service to our EU clients.

To achieve these goals, we are participating in relevant industry events to connect with the right partners. We are attending events in Monterrey and around Mexico, Latin America, Europe , the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Our positive experience at past events, such as those we held in Dubai, has allowed us to build a strong reputation and establish key connections.
