Saint Laurent Inaugurates its Largest Store in Mexico
French luxury brand Saint Laurent, owned by the luxury giant Kering, has inaugurated its largest store nationwide in Guadalajara, deviating from its typical focus on Mexico City.
Kering has been expanding its footprint in the western region of Mexico since late 2023, with the debut of standalone stores for brands like Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, and now Saint Laurent, all housed within the upscale midtown Jalisco shopping center, which is elevating its luxurious offerings.
Spanning 1,000 square meters, the store showcases a comprehensive range of women's and men's ready-to-wear collections, along with a selection of accessories including clothing, bags, shoes, and jewelry. The French brand previously had a presence through a shop-in-shop arrangement at El Palacio de Hierro.
The store embodies Anthony Vaccarello's latest store concept, characterized by a harmonious blend of rough and soft-textured walls complemented by grand mirrors and lavish accents, notably featuring marble and dark wood elements. Adding a touch of local flair, the space also boasts three sculptures by Jalisco-based multidisciplinary artist José Dávila and a table crafted by Mexican designer Eugenio Escudero.
Despite Kering reporting an 11% decline in revenue (€4.5 billion) compared to the same period last year (€5.07 billion) during its 1Q24 report, Saint Laurent experienced an 8% decrease as well.
