ALTÁN Redes Expands Free Connectivity in Flood-Hit Regions
Following one of the most destructive flooding events of 2025, ALTÁN Redes has reinforced its commitment to keeping Mexico connected by activating two major emergency connectivity initiatives across the country in Veracruz, Puebla, and Hidalgo.
The company implemented free connectivity measures to ensure communication continuity in the most impacted areas. The initiative includes 2GB of data, 250 minutes, and 250 SMS valid for seven days, made immediately available through 51 Mobile Virtual Network Operators (OMVs) operating on the ALTÁN network.
This action aims to benefit over 53,000 users, enabling thousands of families to remain in contact and access vital information during the emergency.
“ALTÁN Redes thanks the collaboration of the OMVs joining this solidarity action, extending the benefit to users in the hardest-hit regions,” says the company in an official statement.
In parallel, ALTÁN Redes also provided TELCEL with free roaming services to guarantee mobile connectivity in flood-affected areas of Veracruz, ensuring that over 550,000 users could stay connected despite infrastructure damage and network disruptions.
“With actions like this, ALTÁN Redes reaffirms its commitment to Mexico. Our infrastructure is at the service of the country to strengthen communication and ensure that connectivity reaches those who need it most,” says the company.
