Clara Brugada, Mexico City’s incoming mayor, called upon political actors to remove electoral propaganda and banners used during campaigns. Brugada emphasized the importance of clearing the city of these materials by the end of the week, citing electoral regulations that assign responsibility to the city government and boroughs for their removal.

"We urge that by the end of this week, we leave Mexico City clean. It is crucial to remember that the Electoral Code designates the city government and boroughs to take the lead, but we are here to support and act responsibly," said Brugada. She announced plans to recycle all removed plastic into green building blocks, like those used in the construction of Utopía Libertad, a recreational site built during her tenure as Mayor of the Iztapalapa municipality, transforming potential waste into environmentally beneficial materials.

She highlighted plans to use recycled materials for future projects, ensuring environmental sustainability guides in city constructions. "With every project, environmental considerations must prevail. That is why we remove as we have placed, promptly and responsibly, to prevent pollution," she concluded.
