AIMMGM, CAMIMEX Congratulate Claudia Sheinbaum on Her Victory

Following Mexico’s recent federal elections, AIMMGM and CAMIMEX congratulated Claudia Sheinbaum on her virtual victory following the June 2, 2024 election. Both organizations emphasize the need for collaboration between the incoming government and the mining sector to benefit workers and their families.
 

AIMMGM extended its gratitude to all Mexicans who participated in the democratic process by casting their votes. Additionally, the association congratulated the candidate from the left-wing party Morena on winning the elections. “AIMMGM expressed its satisfaction with the democratic process in which Mexican citizens participated and congratulated Claudia Sheinbaum, who is the virtual winner of the June 2nd elections,” reads AIMMGM’s X account. 

CAMIMEX echoed this sentiment, expressing its willingness to work alongside Sheinbaum’s team. The chamber emphasized responsible mining practices that contribute to well-being and prosperity in Mexico. “CAMIMEX congratulates Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum on her historic election as the first female president of Mexico. The formal mining sector, represented by the chamber, is committed to environmental stewardship, human rights, and the creation of dignified jobs for millions of families,” CAMIMEX stated on X.
