Mexico, WTFI Partner to Boost Tourism Investment
The World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) Dubai office met with Mexican Ambassador Luis Alfonso de Alba to strengthen tourism and investment collaboration between Mexico and WTFI’s global network.
“Mexico is a powerhouse in global tourism, and we see immense potential in collaborating with WTFI’s investment network to drive new projects, enhance visitor experiences, and expand tourism-related industries,” says Ambassador de Alba.
The discussions focused on unlocking new opportunities for tourism development, fostering investment partnerships, and enhancing cultural exchange between Mexico and key international markets.
WTFI plays a key role in driving global tourism investment by connecting governments, investors, and private sector leaders, says Bulut Bağcı, President, WTFI. The organization has established itself as a key facilitator of large-scale tourism projects, leveraging its expertise to attract capital and industry knowledge from leading markets across the European Union, Asia, and the Americas.
Mexico is committed to sustainable tourism, innovation, and infrastructure expansion, which position it as a premier investment destination, says de Alba. During the discussion, both parties agreed to focus on:
-
Leveraging WTFI’s investor portfolio to attract capital for Mexico’s tourism infrastructure projects.
-
Facilitating Mexico’s participation in WTFI-led summits to connect with international investors and tourism leaders.
-
Strengthening Mexico’s global brand through WTFI’s media channels, marketing campaigns, and international tourism forums.
-
Partnering on green tourism projects and leveraging WTFI’s expertise in eco-tourism and digital transformation initiatives.
-
Enhancing tourism flows between Mexico and the Gulf region through strategic partnerships with airlines, tour operators, and hospitality brands.
The meeting concluded with a shared vision for long-term cooperation, with plans for further discussions on integrating Mexico into WTFI’s major investment initiatives. By tapping into WTFI’s global network and expertise, Mexico aims to unlock new tourism markets, secure international investment, and strengthen its position as a top-tier global travel destination.
