Emergent Cold LatAm Expands Facility in Guanajuato
Emergent Cold LatAm, a prominent provider of temperature-controlled logistics and storage services for food, announced the completion of its facility expansion in Villagran, Guanajuato. This expansion signals the company's commitment to meeting the escalating demand for high-quality temperature-controlled storage solutions in the region.
“Since 2022, we have made significant investments in Mexico and plan to continue with robust expansion. In less than two years, we have completed two acquisitions and announced the expansion of two facilities and the construction of a new warehouse, underlining our commitment to local development,” says David Palfenier, Co-Founder and President, Emergent Cold LatAm.
The project, which has generated nearly 7,000 jobs, has augmented the facility's capacity by 16,000 pallets. The company also plans to expand its facility in Apodaca and build a new warehouse in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
Emergent Cold LatAm made its initial foray into the Mexican market in September 2022 through the acquisition of Bajo Cero. The company then solidified its position in the market by acquiring Qualianz in January 2023, establishing itself as the premier provider of temperature-controlled food storage solutions in the country.
Emergent Cold LatAm operates an extensive network of over 30 strategically positioned warehouses across Mexico, from Mexico City to Tijuana, Baja California. This expansive infrastructure boasts a staggering capacity exceeding 1 million m3 and nearly 200,000 pallet positions dedicated to refrigerated and frozen foods.
