Mimpo Global Logistics has completed the acquisition of Iberoforwarders, marking its first inorganic growth move in the Spanish market since its establishment in 2019. With this integration, the company expects to achieve a joint turnover of €40 million (US$46.6 million) in Spain by 2025, supported by a team of over 60 professionals.

“This integration responds to a very clear strategy: consolidating our activity in Spain and strengthening our position as a logistics operator of reference in trade flows between America and the European Union. In just six years, we have built a solid and recognized brand, and now we are laying the foundations for a new stage of more ambitious and specialized growth,” says Carlos Delfín, Global CEO, Mimpo Global Logistics.

The acquisition strengthens Mimpo Global Logistics’ presence in Spain by expanding its operational capacity and enhancing its value proposition in international maritime transport, which remains the core business of both companies. The combined expertise focuses on export and import flows between the European Union, Latin America, and the United States, with strong specialization in high-value sectors such as industrial, commercial, and consumer goods.

Beyond maritime transport, the integration brings additional operational capabilities to Mimpo Global Logistics in Spain. These include a 3,000m² customs-bonded warehouse, national and international road transport services, and specialized logistics solutions for the Canary Islands. With this move, the company broadens its coverage and diversification while maintaining its strategic focus on maritime, air, and land services.

“This is a key strategic step for Mimpo Global Logistics in Spain. It allows us to scale in both capabilities and human talent, positioning us to continue growing in highly demanding logistics sectors, with a focus on maritime transport and integrated solutions for our clients,” says David Soto, Managing Director in Spain, Mimpo Global Logistics.

For Iberoforwarders, the acquisition opens new growth opportunities while ensuring continuity. “Both companies share a very aligned vision of the business, which will facilitate a swift integration full of potential. This operation offers new opportunities for growth and will be highly beneficial for our clients,” says Jordi Esteve, CEO, Iberoforwarders.

The integration process will begin in the coming weeks, with teams from both companies working to maximize synergies, especially in maritime trade with the Americas, where both firms have established strong expertise and long-term commercial relationships.
