Radiant Logistics Acquires 80% Stake in Mexico’s Weport
Radiant Logistics, a leading provider of technology-enabled global transportation and value-added logistics solutions, announced it has acquired an 80% ownership interest in Weport, a privately held logistics provider headquartered in Mexico City.
"We were looking for a long-term partner with that same passion for servicing the customer and a shared vision to further advance our business, while also providing an opportunity for growth for our employees. I am excited for the opportunity to leverage our own strengths along with the capabilities of the larger Radiant network to bring additional value to our customers, while supporting the broader Radiant Network here in Mexico," says Ricardo Rochman, Founder, Weport.
The acquisition strengthens Radiant’s presence in Mexico, a key market for global trade, particularly amid the surge in nearshoring strategies. The deal was structured similarly to Radiant’s prior transactions, with part of the purchase price payable based on Weport’s future performance. Radiant also secured the right to purchase the remaining 20% ownership at a later date.
"We are excited to announce our partnership with Ricardo and the entire Weport team. We have been looking for the right next transaction to complement the Radiant network and solidify our capabilities in Mexico and we found it in Weport. In addition to supporting Radiant's legacy and prospective customers across Mexico, Weport is well positioned to serve as a platform to help us continue to scale our North American footprint," says Bohn Crain, Founder and CEO, Radiant.
Founded in 2016, Weport offers comprehensive logistics services tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of industries. Its portfolio includes international ocean and air freight forwarding, multimodal domestic services, customs brokerage, warehousing, and other value-added services. With national coverage, Weport facilitates the movement of goods to and from Mexico for global clients.
Following the acquisition, Weport will continue to operate under the leadership of Rochman. The company is expected to transition to the Radiant brand by 2026.
