RJ Logistics Adopts Rectangle Tracking to Enhance Visibility
RJ Logistics, a customer-focused third-party logistics (3PL) provider operating across North America, has deployed real-time cross-border shipment visibility through Rectangle’s tracking API and Data Sync technology. The integration has delivered over 95% tracking coverage, with a 95th-percentile tracking interval of roughly 15 minutes, increasing the company’s tracking data points twentyfold.
Before the integration, RJ Logistics faced major challenges scaling its cross-border operations. “As RJ expanded its cross-border operations, traditional tools that rely on driver opt-in or ELD integrations were not effective in Mexico. The lack of timely updates forced heavy reliance on manual check calls and slowed response times,” says Matt Salefski, co-founder at Rectangle, describing RJ’s pre-integration hurdles.
The rollout was completed in less than a day, using Rectangle’s universal API and Data Sync platform to pull GPS data directly from carriers and push live updates into McLeod, RJ’s transportation management system (TMS). This automated data flow provides an accurate, unified view of all cross-border shipments, ensuring consistent visibility and reliable information across borders.
Since going live, RJ Logistics has reduced manual check calls by more than 70%, freeing the equivalent of two full-time team members. Operators can now focus on managing exceptions and improving customer service, while shippers receive faster, more consistent updates. The company has already made live cross-border visibility a core differentiator in customer discussions.
