Dumas Contracting Wins SilverCrest's Las Chispas Mine Contract
Dumas Contracting, a subsidiary of leading provider of underground and surface mining services Stracon, was awarded a five-year contract for all underground development and production activities at SilverCrest’s Las Chispas Mine, Sonora.
Steve Dixon, CEO, Stracon, highlighted the company's commitment to providing services focused on enhancing predictability and optimizing performance at Las Chispas. Dixon noted this approach involves actively collaborating with SilverCrest to integrate best practices to ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable development of the Las Chispas Mine. "I want to express gratitude to SilverCrest for the opportunity to showcase Dumas' operational expertise and decades of experience in underground mining, including in Mexico," says Dixon.
The Las Chispas Mine is a wholly-owned underground silver and gold mining operation of SilverCrest through its Mexican subsidiary, Compañía Minera La Llamarada.
Dumas Contracting was contracted to deliver different services, including underground development and mining production. As a Stracon company, Dumas Contracting is a mining contractor offering integrated services specializing in the construction of underground mines, horizontal and vertical mining development, shaft development, underground mining, and engineering.
This strategic partnership aims to combine the operational excellence of Dumas Contracting with the mining potential of Las Chispas, contributing to the efficient and sustainable development of the project.
