CMA CGM has announced a series of strategic updates to its shipping services, to strengthen its position across the Asia–Mexico–West Coast South America (WCSA) and West Coast Central America (WCCA) corridors, in response to the evolving global trade dynamics.

The updates bring optimized service rotations, faster transit times, a new direct call to Chile, and enhanced access to Central America through transshipment hubs. CMA CGM ensures continued competitive transit times for reefer cargo, a key export from Ecuador, reinforcing its commitment to perishables trade.

The M2X service will now include a direct call at Buenaventura (Colombia), boosting connectivity while ensuring consistent weekly service to Mexico’s key ports.

New Rotation:

Shekou – Ningbo – Shanghai – Tianjin – Qingdao – Busan – Manzanillo – Lazaro Cardenas – Buenaventura

The service also connects seamlessly with CMA CGM’s newly launched MAYA loops, creating a robust network to serve West Coast Central America via transshipment in Buenaventura and Lazaro Cardenas.

MAYA Loops Overview:

  • MAYA 1: Balboa – Buenaventura – Puerto Caldera – Balboa

  • MAYA 2: Buenaventura – Balboa – Corinto – Buenaventura

  • MAYA 3: Lazaro Cardenas – Puerto Quetzal – Acajutla – Lazaro Cardenas

First Departure: m/v “CC ADONIS” – ETD Shekou on May 9, 2025

The ACSA1 service is reversing its WCSA rotation, now operating South to North, and introducing San Antonio (Chile) as the first port of call in South America. This change offers the fastest transit time to this crucial hub, giving shippers a strong competitive edge.

New Rotation:

Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – San Antonio – Chancay – Callao – Posorja – Yokohama

First Departure: m/v “CMA CGM LEGACY” – ETD Busan on May 14, 2025

To further expand its Latin America footprint, CMA CGM is launching the M2A service, a brand-new loop providing direct calls from Central and North China to Ensenada, as well as key ports across the Andes region.

Rotation:

Dalian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Qingdao – Ensenada – Manzanillo – Lazaro Cardenas – Buenaventura – Guayaquil – Chancay – Shanghai – Dalian

First Departure: m/v “CSCL ASIA” – ETD Dalian on May 17, 2025
