Emergent Cold LatAm, a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics and storage services for food, successfully completed an expansion of its facility in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. In a press release, the company announced that it has many more plans for Mexico.

“We are building a new warehouse in Monterrey and looking for the best opportunities for growing our network in the country. The growth in Mexico is an important part of our company’s expansion. The domestic market’s potential, proximity to the United States, growing agricultural production, and opportunities for connection with other Latin American countries make Mexico integral to our strategy,” says Juan Pablo Benitez, Managing Director, Emergent Cold LatAm for Mexico.

The expansion added 3,900 new positions, increasing the facility's capacity to 17,500 pallets within a 145,000m3 space. This expansion marks the second project completed by the company in Mexico this month, following the recent enhancement of its unit in Villagran, Guanajuato.

Emergent Cold LatAm began operations in Mexico in September 2022 with the acquisition of Bajo Cero, followed by the acquisition of Qualianz in January of the following year. The company now operates over 30 strategically located warehouses throughout Mexico, from Mexico City to Tijuana, boasting a total capacity exceeding 1 million m3 and nearly 200,000 pallet positions for refrigerated and frozen foods.
