Leading global logistics provider GEODIS opens a new office in Guadalajara, Jalisco, reinforcing its growing operations in Mexico. This expansion reflects the rapid growth of GEODIS’s Freight Forwarding business in the country and integrates the new location into the company’s Americas Center of Excellence (CoE), a key operational hub supporting its logistics services across the entire region.

“The opening of our new office in Guadalajara marks a major milestone for our operations in Mexico, where we have had a presence for nearly 20 years. This new location not only allows us to expand our growing Freight Forwarding business but also adds new logistics solutions to our portfolio to better support our clients. It is a direct reflection of our ongoing commitment to growth in the region,” says Miguel Muñoz, Managing Director, GEODIS in Mexico.

The Guadalajara office now houses the largest Shared Services Center for GEODIS in the Americas, supporting all business lines through vital functions such as accounting processes, supply chain engineering, logistics operations, and control tower activities. With established operations in Mexico City, Queretaro, State of Mexico, and Jalisco, GEODIS is centralizing its freight transport services, customs and trade services, project logistics, and supply chain management at this new site.

The decision to establish Guadalajara as GEODIS’s second operational hub in Mexico highlights the city’s growing importance as a logistics center. GEODIS operates a direct air freight route from China and Hong Kong to Guadalajara with two weekly flights, in addition to strategic connections through the port of Manzanillo and major trade corridors to the United States and Canada. Coupled with advanced warehousing infrastructure, distribution centers, and state-of-the-art control and security systems, Guadalajara has become a critical logistics hub for the company.

The new 2,789m² office was designed with sustainability and employee well-being in mind, says GEODIS. Prioritizing natural lighting and ergonomic design, the facility includes energy-efficient cooling systems and water-saving features such as treated water for restrooms, significantly reducing its environmental footprint.

With this opening, GEODIS’s footprint in Mexico now includes 14 facilities totaling more than 148,000m2. The company employs 2,717 people across the country, with 442 team members based in the new Guadalajara office.
