Yucatan to Invest US$7.6 Million in New Logistics Hub
Yucatan is making a strategic move to position itself as a key logistics hub in southern Mexico with the launch of Lok Park, a new state-of-the-art logistics corridor located on the Merida-Cancun highway. Governor of Yucatan Joaquín Díaz says that the park represents an investment of MX$140 million (US$ 7.6 million), underscoring the state’s commitment to industrial growth and job creation.
“This project places Yucatan in the global spotlight for investors and becomes a symbol of what we envision for the Renacimiento Maya: development rooted in Yucatecan values, long-term vision, and tangible benefits for our people,” says Díaz.
The newly inaugurated Lok Park features 26 industrial warehouses equipped to meet the demands of logistics, transportation, e-commerce, and regional distribution companies. The project aims to attract both national and international investment while strengthening regional connectivity and diversifying the local economy.
Díaz emphasizes the strategic location of the logistics corridor, which enhances the state’s offering of industrial space and expands logistical infrastructure into new areas. He assures the business community of the government’s open-door approach, stressing that his administration is a partner in growth, not a competitor.
“To business owners, I say clearly: now is the time to invest in Yucatan. Now is the time to grow with Yucatan. You will find a government that removes obstacles, opens doors, and bets on the future,” says Díaz.
Lok Park is a next-generation logistics park that meets international standards, offering flexible warehouse spaces designed to accommodate modern operational needs. The development is situated in a high-value, fast-growing zone and features a full suite of amenities, including a business center, 24/7 security, legal certainty, customizable areas, and cutting-edge technology.
Carlos Gil, General Director, Progilba Desarrollos, the firm behind Lok Park, reaffirms the company’s commitment to the region. “We will continue along this path of mutual support because it is through collaboration that we are witnessing Yucatan’s growth become a reality.”
