2024 Elections. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador highlighted that the opposition has not fully accepted the results of the 2024 elections, in which MORENA secured the Presidency, the majority in Congress and most of the states that changed governors.

INE announced that Sheinbaum secured between 58.6% and 60.7% of the votes, making her the most-voted candidate in Mexico's recent history. Xóchitl Gálvez, from Fuerza y Corazón por México, came in second with 26.6% to 28.6% of the votes, and Jorge Álvarez Máynez from Movimiento Ciudadano placed third with 9.9% to 10.8% of the votes.

Although Gálvez accepted Sheinbaum's victory, she announced her intention to challenge the election, alleging interference by organized crime. So far, Gálvez has not detailed what specific aspects she will challenge.

Classist Propaganda. López Obrador have called on Mexicans not to be influenced by classist propaganda, in which Mexicans of higher socioeconomic status are asked to punish those who have voted for MORENA by not giving tips, not making donations, among other actions that spread hatred among Mexico's socioeconomic classes. "Do not be fooled and do not harbor hatred either. It was a democratic election that needs to be respected."

Clinic is Ours. Minister of Health Jorge Alcocer announced the launch of Health Committees in the south of Mexico as part of the Clinic is Ours program. This initiative aims to allocate resources to clinics and health units. Alcocer stated, "The objective is to enhance the conditions of the 11,947 IMSS Bienestar health centers by refurbishing, equipping, and maintaining them, thereby elevating the quality of care they deliver."

The Mexican health system is experiencing a deep transformation. The integration of health services through IMSS-Bienestar aims to offer care to those who are not affiliated to other public institutions, such as ISSSTE or ISSFAM. The federal government expects all entities to operate within the IMSS-Bienestar program by 2040. So far, 24 states have joined the program.
