Sheinbaum to Meet Singapore President to Formalize Embassy. Mayan Train to Lower Gasoline Prices. During her visit to Quintana Roo, President Claudia Sheinbaum noted that gasoline prices exceed MX$23.99/L (US$1.31/L), the amount agreed upon with gas station owners. She explained that the construction of a Mayan Train freight line and a new fuel storage center will help reduce transportation costs and, consequently, lower fuel prices.
“I noticed that in some areas of Quintana Roo, gasoline costs over MX$24/L. I asked Pemex why, and it turns out that part of the fuel for the south comes through the port of Progreso, Yucatan, but there are very few storage terminals. Tanker transport costs are high. With the Mayan Train freight system, we plan to build a fuel storage center, which will reduce transport costs,” she said.

“All 13,232,000 older adults received their six payments for the year. The payment operation concluded on Nov. 27, with a total investment of MX$484.483 billion. Regarding the Women’s Well-Being Pension, resources were recently distributed to registered recipients, making this pension universal for women aged 60 to 64,” Montiel stated.
