Leviton Reports 37% Emissions Cut Toward 2030 Goal
Leviton announced a 37% reduction in its overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from a 2021 baseline, according to its 2024 Sustainability Report. The update highlights progress toward the company’s CN2030 goal of achieving carbon neutrality across global operations by 2030.
The emissions reduction is part of Leviton’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes transitioning to renewable and clean energy sources and investing in certified carbon offset projects to address residual emissions. The CN2030 initiative was launched in 2022 as a company-wide commitment to climate action.
“This progress is a testament to the dedication and collective effort of our employees around the world. We recognize our responsibility to reduce emissions and help our customers do the same,” said Daryoush Larizadeh, President and CEO, Leviton.
The company also reported an 11% reduction in CO2e emissions from 2023 to 2024 and has reached carbon neutrality at 19 sites. Additional initiatives outlined in the report include the expansion of its Sustainably Smart Packaging program, the launch of a Zero Waste to Landfill program, and an increase in the number of Network Solutions products with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
Leviton’s Camargo facility in Mexico, which was recently expanded, earned Green Globe certification from the Green Building Initiative, marking the first such certification in the country. “Sustainability is a priority for our company, and the results to date speak for themselves. I am proud of our teams and excited to continue advancing toward a carbon neutral future,” said Ross Goldman, Chief Sustainability Officer and COO of the Network Solutions Unit, Leviton.
