Artificial intelligence and sustainability are reshaping business models across industries in Mexico, according to executives from Nvidia, Coca-Cola, and Holcim who spoke at the Forbes Economy and Business Forum 2025.

At the forum, Nvidia highlighted that the evolution of AI began with its hardware innovation. “We never imagined that gaming graphics cards would become tools for machine learning, as they are today through AI processors,” said Marcio Aguiar, Director of Nvidia’s Enterprise Division for Latin America. He added that companies “must think like startups—there are no small or large companies, only those that stay agile.” Nvidia’s early investment in technology has given it a competitive edge in AI, automation, and electric mobility, a sector further boosted by Chinese automakers.

Coca-Cola shared that it is using AI to better understand Mexican consumers and meet their evolving needs. “Artificial intelligence is our bet to understand Mexicans more deeply and meet their consumption desires,” said Sergio Londoño, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability. The Coca-Cola System accounts for 2% of Mexico’s GDP and generates over one million direct and indirect jobs, including 1.1 million small retailers.

Holcim México emphasized its commitment to sustainability through circular economy practices. “Around 120,000 tons of waste are produced annually in Mexico, posing a challenge for society and industry,” said Óscar Rivas, Director of Geocycle Holcim México. The company processed 550,000 tons of waste in 2025 and aims to reach one million tons by 2030, reducing CO₂ emissions and strengthening recycling value chains.

The forum also recognized companies advancing in digital transformation through the inaugural Forbes Ready 25 list, sponsored by Kyndryl. Honorees included Banorte, Grupo Bimbo, Amazon, Microsoft, Walmart, and Toyota, among others.
