El Globo Opens New Flagship Store in Mexico City
The bakery chain El Globo has opened a new flagship store in Mexico City, introducing a redesigned image and expanded product offerings as part of a strategy to reposition itself as a lifestyle brand.
With this move, the branch marks a shift toward a multi-experience concept aimed at deepening consumer engagement. The space includes areas for relaxation, a coffee bar with selected beans, and options for product customization. The brand will also host coffee tastings in the coming months to highlight these signature products.
El Globo’s updated offering now includes sourdough bread, fine pastries, hot and cold beverages, and a new category of savory snacks tailored to different consumption moments. Core menu items such as the Garibaldi, an El Globo original, remain central to the brand, alongside the Salón cake, Salón donut, París bread, Latte, Espresso, Chai, Nut Bread, and Millefeuille cake.
Juliana Hernández, Director General, El Globo, said the brand’s refreshed identity maintains the warmth that has defined it since 1884 while adapting to modern consumer preferences. “This flagship store is much more than a store: it is a space where every flavor embraces the consumer, becoming the center of special moments,” she said.
Ricardo Pérez, Head of Marketing and Experience, El Globo, described the brand’s transformation as an effort to combine tradition, quality, innovation, and design in a scalable and consistent business model. “Every detail, from our products to the ambiance, is designed to provide a sensory experience that connects emotionally with our consumers,” he said.
