Grupo Lala achieved the Clean Industry certification for seven of its production plants across the country. This accomplishment follows the company's participation in the National Environmental Audit Program, conducted by the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), spanning from 2022 to the present.

The certified plants are in Mexico, Guadalajara, Veracruz, Obregon, Aguascalientes, Tizayuca, and Tecate. Notably, the latter four received their certifications between 2022 and 2023, while the rest underwent recertification processes. "Given the current global context, it is essential to have an ESG approach in all actions we undertake as a company to address challenges and seize opportunities, striving for a better future for all," highlights Miguel Gil Ortiz, Sustainability Manager, Grupo Lala.

The National Environmental Audit Program, established by PROFEPA, entails a structured series of activities aimed at promoting environmental audits. Participation in the program is voluntary, allowing productive organizations to adhere and improve not only compliance with legislation but also the efficiency of their production processes, environmental performance, and competitiveness.

With the attainment of these seven certifications, Grupo Lala solidifies its strategic commitment to sustainability, integrated into its business strategy. The company believes this commitment is crucial for maintaining comprehensive performance across its production chain while adding social, environmental, and corporate governance value from a standpoint of responsibility and ethics.
