Stellantis plans to invest US$10 billion in the United States to strengthen its operations and revive the Jeep, Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler brands, sources told Bloomberg. The multiyear strategy includes approximately US$5 billion in new funds, supplementing a similar amount committed earlier this year. An official announcement is expected in the coming weeks.

Investments will focus on plants in Illinois and Michigan, potentially including plant reopenings, hiring programs, and the development of new vehicle models. Stellantis aims to restore Jeep’s historical market position and is evaluating long-term investments in Dodge—possibly a new V8 muscle car—as well as future plans for Chrysler.

The automaker has faced challenges in North America following financial underperformance and tariffs imposed during the previous US administration.

Antonio Filosa, CEO, Stellantis, has launched a review of the company’s medium-term strategic plan ahead of the next Capital Markets Day. “We are evaluating all future investments as part of a strategic plan to strengthen our US presence,” Filosa said.

Sources noted that specific projects and final investment allocations are still under discussion.
