CFE Deploys Resources for Hurricane Beryl
CFE announced that it has 2,209 electrical workers ready to address the impacts of Hurricane Beryl as it passes through the country. The national electric company also detailed that it has 360 cranes, 572 vehicles, 68 emergency generators, six all-terrain units, 27 mobile communication teams, and five helicopters positioned at strategic points.
According to weather forecasts, rains from the hurricane were expected for July 4 although the hurricane made landfall on July 5 in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo.
CFE has emergency response plans in place for such meteorological events or any other natural occurrences that may disrupt electrical service. The utility said it will continuously monitor the progression of the storm.
Additionally, CFE will keep track of areas likely to be affected, maintain Strategic Operations Centers, and ensure the visibility of users whose service is critical to the community.
