CFE Opens Market Study Bidding for Puerto Peñasco Solar Project

CFE has launched a formal procedure to select a contractor for the Market Conditions Research of the Puerto Peñasco Secuencia III Photovoltaic Central project. The initiative, outlined in the Terms of Reference (TdR), is a key step toward awarding the project to Fideicomiso Energías Limpias No. 10670 and, where appropriate, moving into contracting.

The process begins with a request for quotations from participants to prepare and integrate the Market Conditions Research. Submissions will be reviewed by dedicated Technical and Economic Commissions, which will evaluate the proposals and issue a formal minute recommending the award.

Key deadlines for interested parties follow Mexico City time (GMT-6) and include the closure of question reception on Sept. 24, responses to participant queries on Sept. 29, receipt of quotes on Oct. 20, and the final reception of offers on Nov. 14.

Participation is open only to firms with proven experience leading projects that encompass the full scope of engineering, design, construction, and commissioning of photovoltaic power plants and energy storage systems.
