On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Jóvenes Constructores de la Comunidad A.C (JCC), the Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI) and USG, a leading global manufacturer of lightweight construction systems, reaffirmed their commitment to building more and better spaces that contribute to the development and quality of life of vulnerable people.

On Día de la Santa Cruz (Day of Construction Workers), business leaders, authorities, and NGOs gathered at the Observatory Youth Center to commemorate the JCC anniversary and inaugurate the David G. Calvert classroom, which will serve the Jóvenes con Rumbo program. This educational space was built with resources provided by the OMI Foundation, with all materials and technical support from USG, and the determined support of the ADI.

Jóvenes con Rumbo is a training and employment program for young people seeking to improve their technical and leadership skills. The program offers training in construction, leadership, teamwork skills, and life skills, with the aim of preparing them for success in the workplace and in life in general.

"Participants also have the opportunity to obtain professional and construction certifications through the program. YouthBuild Mexico has implemented the Jóvenes con Rumbo program in several communities throughout the country, and has helped hundreds of young people obtain stable jobs and improve their future prospects," explained José Ramón Garrido, National Director, Jóvenes Constructores de la Comunidad, thanking everyone involved in making this project a reality on behalf of the organization.

On behalf of USG Latin America, Ariadna Pérez, Human Resources Manager, celebrated the work of JCC and the ability to contribute to the construction of this new space for education. "As a socially responsible company, we share a very important purpose with our allies, which is to improve quality of life through the construction of exceptional spaces. Therefore, adding to this goal and contributing from our experience as leaders in construction, technical advice, and training will always be an honor, whether in the field or through the USG Academy."

It is worth noting that the company behind the TABLAROCA brand has trained more than 5,000 people so far this year at the USG Academy in order to professionalize the workforce and knowledge in lightweight construction systems, and is about to inaugurate its new headquarters in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

For its part, the Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI), the organization founded over 30 years ago by a group of entrepreneurs with the aim of organizing and consolidating the industry, collaborates closely with authorities to promote the development of the communities where they carry out their investments, in order to provide a better future for Mexican cities.

"I want to thank USG and the OMI Foundation for making the construction of this space dedicated to the training of future real estate professionals possible. Being part of this inauguration is a great achievement and a source of pride for the association, since education and training are fundamental to success in any field. The demand for specialized knowledge is high, particularly in the real estate sector, so we are committed to continuing to support such noble causes," said María José Fernández, Director General, ADI.
