Quantix SCS, a leading supply chain services company specializing in the chemical industry and backed by Wind Point Partners, has announced the acquisition of CLX Logistics. This move aims to solidify Quantix's position as North America's premier provider of supply chain services to the chemical sector.
“This deal is a significant step for Quantix as a leader in the chemical 3PL market and will bring meaningful value to our customers as we integrate a wide-ranging set of offerings, technology, and analytics products into our portfolio. We are proud to have the CLX team as part of the Quantix family of companies, and congratulate founder J. Stephen Hamilton on the exceptional business he has built,” says Chris Ball, President and CEO, Quantix.
CLX Logistics brings experience in offering a wide array of transportation management systems, managed services, supply chain consulting, brokerage, and technology solutions to customers across North America and Europe. Handling a US$500 million worth of freight annually, Quantix has continued its expansion through strategic acquisitions, with CLX representing the 10th addition under Wind Point's ownership.
With the integration of CLX, Quantix further enhances its capabilities by incorporating advanced technology solutions and managed supply chain services, thereby catering to customers worldwide across all modes of transportation.
The combined entity will operate with more than US$2 billion in logistics spent, boasting 5,400 owned assets, over 40 distribution centers and rail terminals, and a network of 3,300 partner carrier relationships. This acquisition significantly expands Quantix's footprint in both North American and European markets, positioning the company as one of the largest providers in the global chemical supply chain logistics market, valued at nearly US$100 billion.
“You would be hard-pressed to find a company that better understands the logistics needs of the chemical industry than Quantix. We look forward to helping the company build even further on what, and how, it delivers for customers through our global presence, advanced chemical logistics expertise, and commitment to customer success,” shares J. Stephen Hamilton, Founder and Chairman of the Board, CLX Logistics.
“The CLX team has created a comprehensive suite of solutions that accent our existing offerings to our valued customers. Expanding our 3PL offering by adding liquid capabilities was an important pillar of our value creation plan, and by partnering with CLX we have become one of the largest chemical 3PL companies in our network. We look forward to continuing to deliver a full suite of services to our customers,” shared Konrad Salaber, Managing Director, Wind Point.
Moving forward, Quantix's acquisition strategy will remain focused on companies providing dry and chemical bulk transportation, warehousing, export, and logistics services to chemical producers and distributors nationwide.
