Q: What differentiates GMSI from other security service providers in Mexico?

A: We meticulously select individuals who embody our organization's values and possess the necessary expertise to contribute to our mission. Our rigorous recruitment process, encompassing a 22-point evaluation, ensures that only the most qualified candidates join our ranks.

We also remain at the forefront of the security industry by embracing the latest technologies. Our continuous investment in cutting-edge technology empowers our team to deliver unparalleled protection to our clients and their assets. We invested in a C-5 the only private C-5 in Mexico. We remain vigilant in identifying and implementing emerging technologies that enhance our capabilities and safeguard our clients' interests. We also employ a meticulously structured set of processes that optimize efficiency and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services. Our commitment to continuous improvement drives us to regularly review and refine our processes, ensuring that we remain agile and responsive to evolving client needs. Multisistemas de Seguridad Industrial delivers a Return of Investment to its clients.

Q: What new technologies has GMSI adopted and how does it stay informed about emerging trends in the field?

A: Multisistemas de Seguridad has a specialized technology division to oversee and manage technological advances. We have adopted various technological solutions to augment our security measures. For example, we employ facial recognition technology to identify individuals with a history of shoplifting. The system maintains a database of known offenders, enabling our security personnel to promptly intercept potential threats. We are very careful to be in line with authorities' legal requirements for personal information protection.

We are also actively exploring the use of AI to further enhance our security capabilities. AI algorithms can analyze vast amounts of data, including surveillance footage, to detect patterns and potential risks. This allows our security team to proactively address emerging threats before they materialize.

We make informed decisions regarding technology by evaluating potential return on investment (ROI). We prioritize technologies that demonstrably enhance security and deliver measurable value. By combining advanced technology with a deep understanding of legal and ethical considerations, we can deliver comprehensive and effective security solutions to our clients.

Q: How does GMSI manage the growing insecurity the country faces?

A: Mexico faces a significant challenge in maintaining public safety. Data indicates a worrisome rise in insecurity, with a stark increase in violent crime during the current government administration compared to previous administrations.

GMSI offers comprehensive security solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client. Our process begins with a thorough Security Needs Detection (SND) analysis conducted alongside each client. Our security solutions are shaped by real-time data on crime distribution across geographical areas. Our approach prioritizes preventative measures and strategies to deter crime, such as strategically placed security guards or security cameras. To further enhance our ability to deter crime, we maintain strong relationships with the Mexican Army (SEDENA), a trusted partner in national security efforts. This collaboration allows us to leverage their expertise and resources when necessary.

Q:  What recommendations would you give the incoming government to improve security in Mexico?

A: Mexico finds itself at a crossroads, battling a severe security crisis. Escalating violence, widespread crime, and a constant fear grip the country. This demands immediate and decisive action from all corners, including the government, businesses, and society as a whole. Insecurity costs lives and cripples economic growth. Investors, both domestic and foreign, shy away from regions perceived as unsafe, depriving Mexico of vital capital and opportunities.

The government needs to acknowledge the gravity of the crisis and take decisive action. This requires a multipronged approach that tackles law enforcement, social programs, and community engagement. The government needs to coordinate security activities with other state and local governments to be effective. The local policy elements need a good compensation package, professional training, and supervision. Businesses, including security firms, also have a role to play. Raising public awareness about the detrimental effects of insecurity is also crucial, as it fosters a collective sense of responsibility and encourages active participation in addressing the issue.

Q: Which industries are showing greater demand for GMSI’s private security solutions?

A: We are witnessing a shift, as more companies recognize that security must be considered as part of their business planning and development. More companies now understand Mexico’s complexities and the need for a high-quality strategic security partner. The country has over 8,000 low-level security companies that do not properly vet their employees. These solutions not only fail to address the problem but can also worsen it.

The growing awareness is leading companies to change their approach and seek out professional security firms like GMSI, which has 40 years of experience in the market and a proven track record of success.

Q: What are GMSI expansion and innovation plans in the short term?

A: The company is poised for growth, both in Mexico and abroad. Domestically, we are committed to solidifying our geographical presence by expanding our reach in key areas. We are also setting our sights on the US market, targeting US and multinational companies with operations in Mexico. We plan to leverage our successful Mexican model in other countries, adapting our services to meet the unique needs of each market.

Investing in our people is paramount to our future success. We foster a strong company culture by instilling in our employees the core values of loyalty, honesty, respect, trust, discipline, vision, and order. Our MSI Contigo program plays a vital role in this endeavor, enhancing employee understanding of these values and fostering stronger engagement, loyalty, and trust.

Technology presents both challenges and opportunities for the company. We remain committed to staying at the forefront by carefully evaluating and adopting new technologies that align with our needs and comply with relevant legal frameworks. Maintaining excellent processes is another priority. We also embrace a culture of continuous improvement, regularly evaluating and optimizing our processes to maintain our competitive edge.

Q: What would a successful 2024 look like for GMSI?

A: Employee satisfaction is a priority. Our turnover rate is lower than the industry average, but we strive for continuous improvement. Our robust infrastructure and experienced team position us perfectly for expansion.  We plan to leverage these assets to attract new clients, further solidifying our market position. We also recognize our responsibility to contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve.

Technology plays a vital role in both employee satisfaction and social responsibility.  A prime example is our free mobile application ProteGM, which provides users with a panic button for both medical emergencies and security concerns.

We believe in collaborative action to address societal challenges. We are open to partnering with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance our social impact.
