Argentinian Elections. Dismissing the possibility of the right-wing returning to power in Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asserted that with the election of rightist Javier Milei as the new president, the people of Argentina scored an "own goal" and insisted that this decision "will not help them."

López Obrador emphasized he respects the decision made by a "majority group" in Argentina, despite all the "anti-democratic elements" used by the economic and political power mafia throughout the country. The president ruled out the possibility of severing diplomatic relations with the government of Argentina, as Milei expects to enter office on Dec. 10.

APEC 2023. President López Obrador stated that he had a very successful time at the  Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders' summit (APEC) 2023, where there was considerable respect between the governments of the United States and China.

"We did very well, truth be told. There is a lot of respect for Mexico—much, much respect. The President of China gave us special treatment; not all presidents were received in bilateral meetings. The meetings with both leaders (China and the United States) were very positive. I welcomed the comprehensive meeting, especially given the current circumstances of high tensions."

López Obrador mentioned that during the meeting with the President of China, Xi Jinping, at the APEC summit, an agreement was reached with the Chinese government for the purchase of appliances. These will be delivered to families in Acapulco affected by tHurricane Otis.

Social Security Institute. Zoé Robledo, Director General, IMSS, announced that the Institutional Supply System (SAI), responsible for managing drug supplies, will be fully operational in all 23 states affiliated with IMSS-Bienestar by March 2024. Currently, the system operates at 55% capacity.

"The SAI system is operational in 273 out of 697 hospitals. We are progressing to have it fully implemented by March. The same applies to the 5,402 primary health centers out of the 13,469 in IMSS-Bienestar. In 2023, the medical team at IMSS-Bienestar used this institutional supply system to assess medication needs," he said.

President López Obrador assured that by March 2024, the health problem will be resolved, stating that Mexico will have the best public health system in the world. He mentioned that the entire health sector is working to ensure that health is not a privilege but a right for the people.

He guaranteed that anyone who falls ill will have access to a bed and a doctor, free of charge and without the need to mortgage their house.
