Tax Break for PEMEX. Regarding the recent tax break for PEMEX, the president says the company is being helped. "I believe we have already rescued PEMEX," he says. He insisted on energy self-sufficiency and presented financial data from the state-owned company.

"We have fulfilled the commitment not to raise gasoline prices, never above inflation," says the president. "Instead of selling crude oil, we are refining it," he explains. "75% of PEMEX’s income comes from the domestic market, not from selling crude oil abroad," he says.

Emilio Lozoya’s Case. When addressing the issue of the release of Emilio Lozoya Austin, former head of PEMEX, López Obrador stated that the work of the Judiciary is guaranteeing impunity.

When Arturo Zaldívar was at the helm of the Supreme Court, there was more restraint, the president asserted; with the arrival of Norma Piña, now the ministers have "a license to steal"; if the minister were there, these things would not happen, he said.

“The Judiciary has surrendered to the conservative bloc, that is why it is necessary for the people to elect judges, magistrates, and ministers,” he insisted.

AMLO Urges INE to Investigate Social Media Smear Campaign. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked the National Electoral Institute (INE) to investigate the smear campaign against him, which he said unfolded on social media ahead of this year's elections.

The president said millions of messages against him were reproduced in recent weeks using bots. "It's not people saying 'narco president AMLO,' it's automated systems managed from offices that replicate that message in very little time, thousands, millions, but these companies that engage in this are advertising companies tasked with doing that mercenary work, and they charge a lot," he said. "The conservative bloc in Mexico is waging this smear campaign, and INE should investigate it."

The president ruled out filing a complaint with electoral authorities but warned that he would continue publicly denouncing what he called a "bombardment of lies."
