YouTube Takes Down Mañanera. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador went after the YouTube video platform, where his daily briefing is broadcasted, for deleting the conference from last Thursday, Feb. 22, in which he revealed information about journalist Natalie Kitroeff from The New York Times.

López Obrador asked the owner of YouTube to investigate its headquarters in Mexico, based on alleged information he has that the company has ties to a conservative political party. Without providing any evidence, the president mentioned the names of several businessmen and television networks that are supposedly involved.

"I have information that perhaps the owners of YouTube are not aware of, but I take this opportunity to ask them to investigate because it seems that the company here, as it happened with Twitter, was taken over by conservatives, linked to a conservative party," said President López Obrador during his press conference.

Mexico Allocated US$117 million to Address the Migration Crisis Through Social Programs. Alicia Bárcena, Minister of Foreign Affairs, reported that the government has allocated US$117 million to solve the migration crisis in Latin American countries through programs like Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life)  and Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro (Youth Building the Future).

Among the countries that have received this support are Belize, Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, El Salvador, Honduras, Haiti, and Panama. In total, 86,000 individuals have benefited from these programs.
