CELAC Meeting. President Sheinbaum reported a positive outcome from the CELAC Meeting 2025 meeting, noting her proposal was well-received. She emphasized the importance of Mexico diversifying its economic markets beyond its strong relationship with the United States. Sheinbaum stated her intention to seek an agreement with Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to complement their respective markets, particularly in the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors, believing this could lead to a stronger bilateral relationship. She said that this approach should also be applied to other CELAC members, as all countries must seek economic complementarities.

Linking Mexico and Central America With Trains. President Sheinbaum spoke with Guatemalan President César Bernardo Arévalo during the CELAC 2025 summit. Their discussion focused on a potential project to extend the Mayan and Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT) railway systems to Guatemala, with a proposed route through Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, and via Belize, to foster development along the border between the two countries.
