According to data from Computrabajo México, the most in-demand job categories in 2024 reflect a broad need for talent across several sectors. Sales, finance, customer service, and logistics are the primary areas showing high demand for workers in 2025.

“Knowing and developing labor competencies requires continuous and strategic effort, starting with self-awareness, ongoing training, practical experience, mentorship, and networking,” says Alejandra Martínez, Head of Labor Market Studies, Computrabajo México. The labor market in Mexico is undergoing significant changes as digitalization, globalization, and automation continue to drive its evolution, sates the report. Companies are looking for candidates with relevant experience and equipped with specific skills that ensure success in key roles, adds the report.

Sales positions accounted for 25% of all job vacancies, while finance and administration held 16%, and customer service 10%. Sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and engineering showed a growing demand, with a gap in available candidates with the right qualifications, reports Negocios LATAM. Sales and logistics are at the forefront of job listings, but the largest pool of candidates tends to be in finance and administration, which, according to Computrabajo, makes this sector more competitive for professionals. According to the company’s report, the disparity between supply and demand creates a scenario where companies must actively search for candidates with specific skill sets to meet their needs.

Computrabajo’s analysis of job descriptions for 2025 highlights the most demanded competencies across various industries. For sales positions, candidates are required to have effective communication, negotiation skills, a results-oriented mindset, and conflict resolution capabilities. In finance and administration, knowledge of financial management, strategic planning, and tax regulations is required for candidates. For customer service roles, skills in active listening, problem-solving, and CRM software proficiency are sought after.

According to the report, logistics and transportation positions demand expertise in inventory management, route optimization, and working under pressure. Manufacturing and engineering professionals are expected to have problem-solving skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and familiarity with specialized software. Roles in information technology and telecommunications require expertise in programming, network administration, and staying current with evolving technology trends.
