AIFA, Mexicana de Aviación Earn “Made in Mexico” Distinction
The state aviation entities Mexicana de Aviación and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) have been awarded the “Made in Mexico” distinction for their contributions to national industry and public service, highlighting their commitment to millions of Mexicans.
At the ceremony, Bárbara Botello Santibáñez, head of National Brand and National Brand Policy at the Ministry of Economy, praised both institutions as “symbols of a nation that is standing strong and proud.” She called AIFA “a living example of what Mexico can achieve through vision, discipline, and national trust” and noted that Mexicana’s return represents “the revival of a national emblem and confidence in our own capabilities.”
AIFA CEO General Isidoro Pastor Román described the recognition as a testament to the airport’s role as a project of national identity, emphasizing social cohesion and delivering on promises in practice.
Mexicana CEO General Leobardo Ávila Bojórquez highlighted the airline’s focus on service, accessibility, comfort, and punctuality, adding that every flight reflects the dedication of its teams and the hopes of families reuniting. Since resuming operations, Mexicana has built a modern, sustainable fleet, including the unique Embraer E195-E2, combining technology, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
