Mercedes-Benz Buses Get “Made in Mexico” Certification
Daimler has received authorization from the Ministry of Economy (SE) to use the certification marks “Hecho en México” and “Made in Mexico” for its Mercedes-Benz buses. The distinction recognizes the company’s quality processes and honors the network of employees, suppliers, and families behind its production chain.
Mercedes-Benz, a German-origin brand, has operated in Mexico for more than 30 years. “Since I arrived in Mexico a few months ago as CEO, I have felt the warmth, dedication, and pride of our people from day one. I am German, and today I am proud to say that these buses carry Mexican heart in every detail,” said Holger Dürrfeld, CEO, Mercedes-Benz Autobuses.
The certification Made in Mexico aligns with the broader goal of showcasing Mexico’s manufacturing capabilities globally, reinforcing its role as a hub of quality automotive production. It also highlights the strength of Mexico’s skilled labor, local suppliers, and integrated supply chain supporting the commercial vehicle market.
